It looks like the Skywalker saga will come to a conclusion this Christmas, with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
To be honest, it has been frustrating being a Star Wars fan. I thought the Force Awakens was weak and the Last Jedi should be stricken from the record completely.
Can J.J. Abrams pull this franchise out of the toilet? Well that remains to be seem. I am glad the Skywalker story is coming to an end though.
Disney will never recapture the " magic " of the original trilogy.
If the powers that be were smart they should see, The Rise of Skywalker as an opportunity to reboot the franchise.
Unfortunately, if Disney wants to milk the franchise, then they need to create new lore with heros and villains. However, Disney just cannot create great stories that match the iconic characters of this franchise. They need to step away from these characters and start anew.
If it was up to me, I would get the team who created The Clone Wars to make an animated series that focuses on Luke and the gang during and after episodes 5 and 6.
Well I still hope that this last installment of the Skywalker saga ends on a good note.
