Introduction
This is one of those games that not too many people remember. I remember it because it was in a NES cartridge with 82 games in 1. I would play it from time to time. This game was originally an arcade game. Then it was ported to various systems. Let us see if it holds up today.
Gameplay
The game is not very complicated. You play the character of Charlie and every stage a new act. Basically you are playing an act for the audience and at the same time it is a platform game. You go through various stages until the game starts again and it gets more and more difficult.
The music in this game is very familiar. It is the 8-bit version of The Blue Danube by Johann Strauss II. I love the song myself. However in this game it keeps looping and at some point you just turn off the sound because it is just too annoying.
The gameplay is not too difficult. Yes it gets more difficult as you get along but it is not impossible. Usually you can get through a stage after a few tries. All that you need to do is find out the pattern and you are set.
There is not really anything else to say. You can move forward and backwards and you jump. So the learning curve is not that high.

Does this game hold up? Not really. It can be fun for about 10 or 15 minutes and then I got bored. I guess for me it was not my cup of tea. I know that I say this a lot with older games but I think a modern version of this game could be awesome on mobile. I do not think that today's generation would like this game as it was when it first released. Although I found the music annoying, I think that it is still pretty good considering the song being played.
I can see how on older systems it could be fun as the other games were not great to start off with. However, on the NES, it was such a matured system that it pales in comparison to other games on the system.
