Make some noise music fans, The Dead Daisies are back with their third full length studio album appropriately titled Make Some Noise. The Dead Daises are a collective comprised of some pretty amazing musicians. Currently the band consists of Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio, Hurricane), John Corabi (Motley Crue, Union, Scream), Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Lynch Mob), David Lowy (Red Phoenix) and Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake).
Make Some Noise is a solid album from start to finish with a mix of 10 original tunes and two credible covers of CCR’s Fortunate Son and the Who’s Join Together. The band has found a virtual sweet spot; merging 80’s hair metal with 70’s classic rock.
Standout Tracks are the AC/DC inspired album opener: Long Way To Go; the bluesy: Last Time I saw The Sun; the catchy as hell: Song And A Prayer; the excellent cover of The Who’s: Join Together and last but not least, the album title track: Make Some Noise (which is a glorious fist pumping rocker that clearly draws its inspiration from Queen’s We Will Rock You).
The production, playing and singing are all top notch. What this band really needs however, is a couple of real catchy singles to get them noticed with the masses. Besides that, the latest release from The Dead Daisies is a great rock record that deserves to be added to anyone’s music collection.
So come one, make some noise …rock isn’t dead!!!!
