Heart return after a four year absence with their 16th studio album Beautiful Broken. The album is a combination of new songs, as well as a number of re-worked arrangements from the rockers' extensive back catalogue.

While most fans cringe at the thought of a vintage band re-working their back catalogue, Heart has learned from their predecessors mistakes. Although the seven re-worked songs have been previously recorded, none are considered Heart standards. Thankfully the classics have been left alone.

Beautiful Broken is a strong record from start to finish. The album showcases powerful vocals from both Ann & Nancy, and has some truly inspired re-imagining of the band’s songs from early 80’s. Highly recommend.
