Welcome to the Aroundtable's third installment in the countdown to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008-2013)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars; an animated series that dealt with the events occurring between Episode I and II of the Star Wars films.
The series lasted six seasons but was cancelled once Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars and developed a new animated series, Star Wars: Rebels
The Clone Wars was exciting to watch because it had time to delve into the motivations of newly discovered characters along with some favourite ones from the series.
The series had really tapped into exploring the Star Wars expanded universe, providing fans with some interesting back stories. Also, it had great battle sequences that at times that surpassed the later day trilogy.
The series did stumble however especially when trying to balance itself against being a children’s show but yet be still captivating adult fans of the Star Wars universe. For the most part, The Clone Wars series succeeded in telling an interesting story in a galaxy far, far away.
If you’ve seen all the films… wait… what I am saying, of course you’ve see all the films. Well then you can supplement your Star Wars fix with The Clones Wars.
