Welcome to the Aroundtable's second installment in the countdown to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones (2002)
The film takes place a decade after the invasion of the planet Naboo. The galaxy is on the verge of a civil war, with thousands of planets leaving the Galactic Senate due to the continued attacks of the separatists led by Count Dooku.
After an assassination attempt on former Queen turned Senator, Padme Amidala, Obi- Wan Kenobi places his apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, as her protector. During this protection assignment, Anakin begins to develop feelings for Senator Amidala.
In my opinion, Episode II is the weakest of the Star Wars Trilogy; offering very little in terms of story. This is just an excuse to have a second Episode, strictly a cash grab.
