DC’s Convergence and Marvel’s Secret Wars issues are the best cross-overs ever in my opinion. Why? The reason is simple, I’m much richer because I’m buying 75% less comics than before. These so called historic series are not so historic.... just boring.

The Avengers "Time Runs Out" series leading up to Secret Wars was much more exciting than Secret Wars itself. All this build up, leading to nothing!

As for DCs' Convergence series, it`s DC`s way to have its cake and eat it to. DC is using time travel to re-open its other timelines and keep its New 52 going. A chance to expand its universe by re-opening old ones...all I can say is, money grab!!!!

So far, I’ve skimmed through both the Convergence and the Secret Wars series and am not impressed. Like I said before, this is all a money grab; nothing more and nothing less.

If these two comic institutions can start up all this hype about historic changes that are so boring then the very least they can do to keep my attention is to have some great art work. If both these series are as important as they claim, then make an effort to make me believe all the hype. I mean, start with an exciting cover since comics are visual. In my opinion, it should be the first thing that grabs your attention.

Bottom Line: do yourself a favour. Save your money until these two series go into the discount bin.
